Marshview Room
The Marshview Room celebrates nature in our backyard, offering beautiful views across the salt marsh toward Wing Island and Cape Cod Bay beyond. Birdwatchers of all ages will delight in seeing Baltimore Orioles, Goldfinches, Cardinals, and other visitors to our feeders outside.
Our Osprey Cam is set up on the nest in the marsh, providing a real-time feed so that visitors can get an up-close look at the annual arrival of the majestic birds and the hatching of their offspring.
There’s even more for visitors of all ages to explore. Our Eldridge Arnold Bird Carving room highlights the craftsmanship this local award-winning Cape Cod carver.
NEW FOR 2023:
Our new NASA “Sun, Earth and Universe” exhibit lets you explore the solar system and learn how our planet is changing.
Visitors can also explore how the natural world inspires human innovation with our biomimicry displays. From Velcro to helicopters, many of the things that shape our lives replicate elements found in nature. Kids can start an exciting journey by climbing the kingfisher’s tree to the nature path to Bullet Train display, which demonstrates how the kingfisher bird’s sharp beak inspired the re-design of Japan’s high-speed rail trains that can travel up to 200 miles per hour. Climb the tree and then slide down the train into the Science Rocks!
