The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History will be OPEN LATE.....
with several special summertime opportunities to enjoy the Museum from 4 - 7 pm.
There are unique programs to celebrate our 60th Anniversary and late afternoon guided walks, as well as evening strolls through the Museum's exhibits and Aquarium.
We are welcoming exciting visits from 5 special guests below.
All these programs require reservations and a fee over admission.

The Science of Magic: July 17, 2014
Ever wonder how magic tricks really work? This program investigates the science behind the “magic” of several classic magic tricks. You might learn how to snatch a tablecloth without disturbing the items on top, make a balloon fireproof, and use electromagnetism to defy gravity. For the grand finale, our educator demonstrates how science can make it safe to lie down on a real bed of nails.

Mike the Bubble Man! August 6, 2014
Mike the Bubble Man brings science and magic to the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History with his interactive indoor show about BUBBLES! In all shapes and sizes, bubbles come alive through music, choreography, and comedy igniting in the young and young at heart imagination and wonder. Come explore the shapes, color and chemistry of bubbles and a chance to experience the world from inside of one!

Discover which stars, planets, and other astronomical wonders are visible this evening using the Museum of Science STARLAB Portable Planetarium! On August 12th at the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History experience the wonder of the Perseid Meteor Shower. In addition we will take you on a tour of the solar system and beyond, and provide useful tips on how you can navigate the night sky from your own backyard.
